2025 Quad Video Recap

Same shit, different year. If you read last year’s Quad Video Recap, this concept isn’t new to you. If you are new here, this is a comprehensive list of every roller skate edit I could find on YouTube, along with my thoughts on each piece. My only stipulation is that it must have been released within the past year. So while it’s still possible for one unpaid person to do it, here is my 2025 Quad Video Recap. We have fewer this year than last year, but I think there is a natural ebb and flow to releases, and perhaps next year might be heavier. Still, 40 releases had me busy. Let me know if I missed you, and I can add your video to the recap. Until next year, keep making skate movies with your friends <3

throwaways - Natasha K - @honeygnarlic - January 8, 2025

We begin the 2025 recap with Canada’s own Natasha, aka honeygnarlic, featuring throwaway footage. A supercut of stashed clips from 2021-2023. Nat skates on lolly boots, narrow trucks, cib sliders, and by her own admission, “it's toestop heavy as hell.” This is a great way to kick off 2025. While Throwaways feels less polished, it’s a highly authentic release that challenges the notion that if a skater has progressed beyond the level previously recorded, the footage dies in the bin.  Instead, space is held for that previous era, and this six-and-a-half-minute from Natasha is full of fun, steezy gaps, and sweet, sweet curbs.

THOUGHTLESS - Tatum Rickard - @dar.thtater - January 9, 2025

This super cute minor edit from the Florida gals who brought you last year’s Diva Down is THOUGHTLESS. At fifteen seconds shy of two minutes, THOUGHTLESS is a slice-of-life tape from some of my favorite skaters: Tatum Rickard, Maddie Alkire, and Zuri Moult, in which the trio has a sesh at Holmes Beach Skatepark in Florida to a very fitting Beach Boys track. Important to note: Tatum previously won the coveted Up and Comer award from Fantom, and Maddie is now up for the same award in 2025! Definitely a crew to keep your eyes on.

Street Part: Luna x Calle Sin Salida - @arcoenlatierra  - January 14, 2025

Clocking in at a little over five and a half minutes is -  Street Part: Luna x Calle Sin Salida. With that Latin flavor of street we’ve come to know and love from South America, Luna skates some gutsy spots that would be deemed “unskateable” by most. Sporting the Chuffed and Hell on Quads collab boot, it's clear why there was a need to invest in the raw talent of South America, as they continue to produce a wealth of media and talented street skaters over the past couple of years.

the flying tarantulas (prologue) - January 19, 2025

A true documentarian, Dirt, produces a few projects a year that are so genuine in their production and never take themselves too seriously. The flying tarantulas are no exception. An authentic slice of life tape, Dirt and Friends, surprise you with some impressive stuff when you least expect it. I would love to see Dirt attempt a full part someday, but until then, these silly goofy tapes get the job done

"Shell Shock" (2025) | Lazo Full Length Roller Skating Video - January 19, 2025

I’ve watched Shell Shock a few times, big rollerskate going to big rollerskate, shits good. Given the weight of this forty-one-minute release, I’ll go in-depth for this one, so strap in for a long-winded write-up. The skating, visuals, tone, and filming quality are top-tier. In Shell Shock, the girls strike a louder, more punk tone than on the previous release, Fast Forward. Lazo seems to be developing a stronger identity as a company over time. The criticism I will raise regarding the tape is that Lazo, a company that prides itself on women's empowerment, lacks women behind the cameras, both in still photography and video. I only make this point to challenge Big Rollerskate in future projects. Not to detract from this excellent long-form quad media piece, but large productions with investors can afford productive criticism, like the whole “Not Pretty Enough For Lazo” debacle. But let's move on to the real shit here with the skating: Nemo Debevoise opens the tape with Mannequin Pussy’s I Got Heaven and some bloodshead. As one of the most hesh quad skaters in the game, Nemo delivers her part with big sends, crunchy grinds, and a hell of a hill bomb ender. The big jumps of Dani Maldonado follow Nemo’s stellar opening. Dani’s part is full of clean ledge work and a graceful rail game; She is a skater who makes everything look good, even when Dani has a massive gash on her forehead (stick around to the credits to see that one). Glad to see her healed up and excited to see where skates take her. Karli Craig, a long-time staple of the street side of rollerskating, is up next. With her vintage haunted house vibe and scary big out-ledges, Karli’s got long grinds and a roof clip to boot. As always, killer song choice for a RollerGoolie part. 2022’s RSOTY, Megan Shaffer, is the next skater featured in this all-star lineup. While it’s no surprise to see Megan skate some massive handrails, the rail god herself shakes it up with tight ledge work and hitting some significant gaps following her signature rail tomfoolery. Given her ender alone, I suspect we’ll also see her in the 2025 RSOTY runnings again. Rounding out the middle, we have some flow team riders: Desi Franco, Eshna Goenka, Ava Verhoff, Lily Gonzalez, Gianna Macioce, Taylor Stack, Kayla Klinkhammer, Alli Tong, Manu Calle, Tia Pitman, and Vashti Rufus-Wilson. I love to see a flow team. But make no mistake, this one, in particular, skates at a level that could easily be considered “pro”. Some of them even have their own video parts later in this list, which I’m eager to explore. It’s a fun section with one of my favorite Amyl and the Sniffers tracks. This leads up to Lauren Banks' part. In Shell Shock, we see Lazo opening up about who does what in the company, and Laurens' part begins to touch on her and Eshana’s collaboration with the brand on a fashion design level. As far as Lauren’s skate part goes, she’s graceful and steezy with low-hanging makios, big down ledges, and fittingly a strong bank game. I suspect this is the start of a long career for @lilbanksy. Speaking of careers, Barbie is on deck. A quad legend in her own right, Barbie discusses her new leadership role at Lazo to kick off her part. What follows is precisely what you’d expect from 2023’s RSOTY. Barbie is a skater who skates FAST with big lines that feel so incredibly Barcelona. In my opinion, the explosiveness of Barbie’s skating is amplified by the choice of a slower, gentler track, opposed to her usual fast pace, thumping classic rock choice. As we move forward with our next skater, Moco, it has been revealed that Lazo will release a new skate pant later this year, something the community has been requesting. Possessing her own distinct style, Moco doesn’t shy away from big gaps and crust. While her style has this loose, almost sloppiness to it (I mean that in the best way), her grinds and switch-ups are clean as fuck. I love that brands have allowed her to grow as a skater and a creative; the industry is better for it. Closing out this massive edit is the powerhouse and RSOTY for 2024, Jammalynn Flower. Being a substitute teacher herself, Hot for Teacher by Van Halen is an inspired song choice for Jamma, who is probably one of the few skaters who can match the pace of that track. Jumping skate stoppers on rails and pulling off huge NBDs by rollerskaters have earned her the Shell Shock ender and a place in quad history.

PS, it seems many of the featured skaters in this production have clearly stated that they are no longer skating for Lazo, leaving the trajectory of this revolving door of talent in question as we roll into 2026.

Ready Pa VIVIR: Sofia Duarte x CrownedByTwo Rollerskate Street Part - February 2, 2025

Straight from Columbia and a part of the Hell on Quads crew, Sofia Duarte comes out of the gate with Ready Pa VIVIR. As a long-time Lana Del Rey fan with a big soft spot for her Ultraviolence record, I was sold from the second I recognized "Pretty When You Cry." In the first half of this six-minute tape, Sofia skates through Medellín, Colombia, showcasing a significant bag of grinds including souls, mizous, and pstars. The second half is spent in Bogota, Colombia, putting us in night mode until Sofia’s eight-stair ender. Another excellent Latin American release under the Chuffed umbrella.

Emily Childs 2024 - February 14, 2025

Shy of three minutes is Emily Childs' 2024 tape, released early 2025. Em’s media is always super lowkey yet super clean, with a signature hardboot style. One of my favorites to watch, Em, is the type of skater I aspire to be with low locked grinds on East Coast crust.

TRICK FOR CASH - DRSK - February 16, 2025

Loud, bumping, dirty, I think DRSK is up next with their quick hesh editing and nightmode shots. Documenting the classic "cash for tricks" concept, Tricks For Cash has a real DIY homie vibe. Can’t wait to see what they come up with next.

Arely Torres - Cielo - February 23, 2025

Skating Chile and Argentina with control and poise comes Arely Torres' street debut in the seven-minute “Cielo” released on the Fantom YouTube channel. I enjoy the pacing this edit strikes, as newcomers to skate media often assume that a fast song is the key to looking gnarly. Arely and those who helped make Cielo understand the more chill approach to making the street look good, even at a slower pace. Arley's technical game is very strong, and the signature South American tile sounds like music to a skater's ears. With creative use of obstacles and some technical grinds on low ledges (something I adore), Cielo is thoughtfully produced and one of my favorites of the year.

Sick Babes – Roller Skating in Winter - February 27, 2025

A gloomy London tape (a rarity!), Sick Babes is almost three minutes long and a joint project by Jess Holland (@_____j.h._____) and Moliana Mundy (@roller_bebi). Sick Babes strikes this theme of authenticity I mentioned at the top of this yearly rundown, in which Moli and Jess are ill with what we northerners (globally) can attribute to “seasonal crud,” yet nevertheless throw the fuck down. SIDE TANGENT: This release features what I call the DIY loophole. Sticklers for the street are often quick to dismiss transition skating unless it’s a DIY spot. Under this loophole, you can see some transition tricks like inverts, handplants, and laybacks (which Jess and Moli do in this edit) in a DIY, and even the strictest street stickler must count it as street. ANYWAY, this edit is a punk rock slice of life that perfectly captures the resilience of skaters in places that aren't warm and sunny year-round.

Last Supper: Tiago Blanco Moco Pro Wheel Edit - February 27, 2025

At just over 3 minutes, Tiago Blanco presents a Last Supper edit to promote the Moco pro wheels. I have to hand it to LS; their constant on-the-ground video promotion of these wheels is so fresh in the industry that it tends to rest on its laurels. In the meat of the video, Tiago hits the Argentinian streets with some squatty grinds and clean rotations stylized in black and white and with a heavy doom track playing in the background—another banger to join LS's growing catalog of media. Also of note is that this is my first time seeing the Latin American RZK boots. Curious to know if we’ll be seeing more of them as brands continue to shift their market focus to the talent in South America.

Welcome 2 the Snakepit - @BrunnyHardcore - March 1, 2025

Coming in hot: Welcome 2 the Snakepit. A high-energy sequel to Brunny’s first tape, Snakepit 2 is an almost nine-minute mix of street, park, and transition. With the familiar faces of Megan Shaffer, Karli Craig, Caro Hernandez, Ivey Rose, Ruby Doom, Katja, Moon Sun, and brand owners Crooks & Garry, this is more of a group tape than a defined “part” release, as each skater clips run into another. I like this deviation from the “street part purist” form because it highlights when team members skated together. That being said, Ruby and Caro had a solid collection of clips that I think were strong enough to be short but stand-alone parts. The moral of Welcome to the Snakepit 2 is grinds, grinds, grinds.

Alli Tong x Fantom - March 19, 2025

From one of the heaviest of the heavy hitters comes the 2025 “Alli Tong x Fantom,” featuring footage courtesy of Lazo Party. Upbeat and athletic are the two words that come to mind with this one. Alli shows off her versatility in this three minute and forty-five-second run of pure bangers with switch-ups and crunchy ASMR. The production value of this certainly matches the quality of skating Alli serves, making for a punchy, effective street edit that earned her a RSOTY nomination.

Durtcam25 - Frankie Dirt Hutcheson - March 22, 2025

Durtcam is the second release of this year from Philly skater Dirt. The videos from Dirt have an overwhelming sense of friendship that takes center stage, and then, when you least expect it, you see an invert, an FDR clip, or a mizou-to-5-0 switch-up. A sweet, just under three-minute, DIY addition to the year-end list.

REWIRING | A Street Rollerskating Video by Taylor Stack - March 24, 2025

Kicking things off with one of the coolest title cards I’ve yet to see is REWIRING | A Street Rollerskating Video by Taylor Stack. A longer individual part at eight minutes and some change, Taylor emphasizes growth and process. At the start, Taylor skates more approachable obstacles, which we now know are the beginnings of her development as a techy grind skater. As the tape progresses, you can see them actively building on their craft with funkier grinds, more rotations, and bigger obstacles—easy to see why REWIRING was nominated for most creative edit of the year by Chuffed Skates.

Fiofio rollerskate: On Tour X el Sur. - March 29, 2025

Being as though I’m a little more out of the loop when it comes to releases outside the US, Fiofio rollerskate: On Tour X el Sur almost slipped past my radar. At 28 minutes, this is one of the longer tapes of the year. Documenting a group of skaters traveling through Chile and Argentina, Fiofio rollerskate captures the magic of having a good sesh with a bunch of friends. Latin American architecture, creates such a playground for all skaters and not just ones chasing hammers. It’s clear the bonds of this group of friends run deep. We get a look at the “tour” part of “On Tour X el Sur,” which I thought was a touching addition to a tape that's clearly about community. I always said I would love to see more tour edits, and it seems I got my wish with Fiofio rollerskate: On Tour X el Sur entering the chat in 2025!

STAMPS - Chuffed Crew 2025 Roller Skate Edit - May 3, 2025

STAMPS, the first of two Chuffed releases this year, is one I’ve watched many times. With a truly versatile team, this is the video I would show someone if they were like, “Hey, so what's all this rollerskating like skateboarding thing?” This is such an intentional project, from the editing to the personalized stamp graphics. At 13 minutes and 33 seconds, STAMPS is what I would call a mid-length edit. Featuring Caro, Miret, Rib, Mud, and Ragnaroll, this international powerhouse of a team may be small in numbers, but each has their own signature styles that make this release so well-rounded. Caro kicks it off with her low steezy grinds and one of the most stunning backside slides I’ve ever seen. We then keep the party going with Miret, a bit of an all-rounder, with some vert clips, technical street antics, and an insane handplant flip to end their section. Though not listed in the official lineup, Lanna Thornhill makes a brief cameo with one great vert run. Up next is Rib, everyone's favorite green daredevil. Skating the super rare “street transition” Rib leaves no crumbs when it comes to crust. What follows is a softer side to Mud. When I say softer, I mean Virginia Slims by carolesdaughter is playing, and Mud is still hitting mile-long handrails. You can always count on them to get creative and even a bit silly with tricks, making their whole part a vibe. Ragnaroll caps off STAMPS with quick switch-ups, steezy manuals, and big air. With most grinds served with a rotation out and airs paired with grabs, this is a meaty part from Ragna that serves as an excellent ending to one of my favorite team tapes of the year.

Do It Sloppy – Quad Skating Street Edit May 10, 2025

Do It Sloppy is the type of skate edit that has something to say but also something to document. With Bones and Alexis moving and Charles becoming a father, this video perfectly encapsulates the bond and era these three friends shared and feels important not only to them but also to the culture. Often, we develop skate routines with people and places that become staples of our practice, but then things inevitably change, effectively ending an era. I know Bones and Alexis are now California baddies, but I claim Do It Sloppy for the Northeast as I recognize both Boston and NYC spots. While the tape is mainly our central trio, there are guest appearances from skaters of all levels, which are always so refreshing to see—really fun eight-minute and twenty-second run.

Malena Suyai Street Part - May 17th, 2025

Irina Lee (@callesinsalidaa) is one to watch if you enjoy skate media, and I highly recommend subscribing to their YouTube channel so you don't miss any of their edits. Malena Suyai’s (@chicawarrior) street part filmed in Chile is everything you could want from a street part. You have slick, speedy tile, huge 180 gaps, and some satisfying wall rides and a hill bomb to cap it off. At four minutes and thirty seconds, this tape has that “playing in a skate shop” vibe with its chill beats and banger tricks.

Princesinha de Minas | Barbie Ratazana Street Part - May 18th 2025

From Brazilian skater, Clara Downey, aka Barbie Ratazana, we have Princesinha de Minas. This is one of those tapes that makes me wish I could understand other languages, but alas, I barely have a grasp on English. That being said, Clara has this really incredible artistry that feeds into her skating, and it’s recognizable no matter what language you speak. With an emphasis on place, Princesinha de Minas is a five-minute, smaller-scale Latin American street edit that is sure to inspire you to skate your city. I’m confident this is not the last we will see of Ms Barbie Ratazana. I can’t wait to see how she develops as a skater and artist.

Collage Buenos Aires roller skate edit - Arely Torres - May 24th 2025

Another Agentinian tape, this time from street up-and-comer, Arely Torres. Released under the Chuffed YouTube channel and edited by Arely herself, Collage Buenos Aires is four minutes and some change long and has some really nice lines. With an upbeat track and some homie clips, this is one of those “playing in a skate shop” videos that, despite the tricks being gnarly, has a really cool, laid-back vibe.

Soeper Toer 2025 - June 10th 2025

Soeper Toer is mostly an inline video, BUT it’s edited by and featuring one of my favorite rollerskate media people, Miret Pelgrom, so it gets a spot on the list. A tour through some of Europe's coolest concrete bowls and transitions, Soeper Toer is a very aesthetically pleasing seventeen minutes. Admittedly, I’m only watching this for the roller skate (sorry, boys), but it’s so well-paced that I didn’t mind sticking around for the rest. If you love a bowl, I highly recommend you watch Soeper Toer.

Not Pretty Enough For L*zo - A street rollerskating film by Paige Koster- June 29, 2025

A SPICY ONE. Paige made a statement with this one, and honestly, I’m here for it. Independent makers will always be the ones who can unapologetically make statements about the culture, and there is something inherently punk about what Paige made. I think that alone makes it one of the most influential tapes of the year. Anyways, the skating: Paige has bangers in this twelve-minute debut. Her ledge game is superb, and that bank - rotation - to 50/50 ride on of the pole solidified that this is my Up and Comer of the year. Artfully made and stylishly skated, Not Pretty Enough For Lazo is a great piece that exudes joy and whimsy, which I think can get lost in bigger productions. Paige and Thomas clearly both study the craft, making for a fantastic part, let alone Paige's debt part.

Velcro the first - July 1, 2025

Pittsburgh represent! Mostly skateboarding here, but Emmy Zero has some really awesome street clips here with bang-up bank rides and huge airs. Ending on a five-step gap, I had to mention this release feature, our very own dual-action sport gal.

PERDIGÓN streetpart Oriana ☆ - July 20, 2025

Hailing from Latin America comes PERDIGÓN streetpart Oriana ☆, from the YouTube account callesinsalida. A mid-length, at twelve minutes, PERDIGÓN is a bit more upbeat and punky in its vibe than previous releases from this channel. With a lot of night mode street clips, this is a fun glitchy tape full of authenticity, grit, good bails, and gnarly battles.

HEAT WAVE roller skating edit - Brock Parker - August 4, 2025

A Sydney tape from local Brock Parker, HEAT WAVE indeed turns it up a notch. Edited with this trippy charm, Brock does some funky street stuff that is a bit of a rarity in Australia. Speaking of, it’s so funny to hear this song being used in an Aussie edit, but it works. Heatwave is such a fun summer edit, with Brock hitting some really nice grinds, sending big airs, and even daringly going fakie off a big crust bank at a parked BMW. While parks are obviously cool and perfect for skating, street media gives us a glimpse into a city's skate geography. This is what makes Brock's part stand out from the others, and I’m excited to see more from him in the Sambas Skate edit coming out early next year.

Oliver Deane - Pear-shaped roller skate edit - September 28, 2025

This year gets not one London tape, but two, with Oliver Deane’s “Pear Shaped” dropping on the Chuffed YouTube channel. With tons of style and attitude, Ollie has a gorgeous bag of tricks that he makes look good with clean, snappy landings. The CRISPY 5-0 has to be my pick for best-sounding grind of the year. Just under four minutes, Pear-Shaped is a must-watch for any aspiring street skater.

Postcards from Torino - Amina & Morgana - October 7, 2025

An Italian import, Postcards from Torino, is released under the Chaya umbrella. Amina and Morgana star in this bubbly seven-minute joint tape. With gorgeous rotations, I was surprised by the creativity in these lines, as well as that one kicker to the ledge street spot. It’s got some great shots and has a charm that some bigger projects never quite grasp. Featuring some of my favorite tricks to see in the wild, like a squatty soul, Postcards from Torino is a welcome addition to the Chaya media catalog.

Lille's Shredders Volume 1 - October 26, 2025

I have no idea how I found Lille’s Shredders. I think it was sent to me in my Instagram DMs?  Regardless, a twenty-minute tape is nothing to sneeze at. With a classic punk vibe, this collective is super authentic and features a mix of street and transition at all different levels. The track “Skate” by Muddle is a really fun addition to the project. Very well-paced for an edit of this size, Lille’s Shredders offers a unique look into a crew and skate ecosystem. Don’t let this one pass you by.

TOMORROW´S GOING TO HURT - TEAM CHAYA - October 31, 2025

Tomorrow’s Going to Hurt is the official Chaya team tape of 2025, featuring skaters Aylu Benítez, Agustina Montañes, Dimitrina Krazhanova, Manuela Lazarte, and Macarena Moltó. With a really trippy trance track that devolves into the classic punk rollerskate vibe, the Chaya team takes on the legendary streets of Barcelona. As I watch the team skate and look so effortlessly stylish, I’m impressed with the number of angles on some of these tricks and the just absolute stack of clips in this edit. At a quick six minutes and thirty seconds, Tomorrow’s Going To Hurt is a solid street tape that has big gaps, wall rides, and mannys to die for. The team meshes well in their skate chemistry, making the whole project feel cohesive.

Now or Never - Chuffed Skates Australia Tour 2025 - November 2, 2025

Going into Now or Never, I had high hopes. I thought Chuffed’s previously released STAMPS was fantastic, certainly one of my favorite team tapes from a brand in a long time. However, Chuffed delivered two outstanding team edits this year. Now or Never kicks off its nearly fifteen-minute run time with some dreamy bowl grinds. Featuring Caro, Miret, Rib, Mud, Ragnaroll, Sam, and Ruby, The Chuffed Team hits the Australian road and streets. With incredible filming and post-production, Now or Never features clips that should be hung in a museum. When you think this is all going to be bangers and hammers, they switch it up on you and remind you of the tour aspect of this project, capturing that skate-ca-tion vibe of running from spot to spot. The nightmode clip of Mud in the bowl is bone-chilling, Lynchian goodness that everyone should see. Amazing edit from start to finish.

Sammakko – A Roller Skating Video by Paula Pirilä - November 11, 2025

Super rare release from Finland: Sammakko is a five-minute part featuring spins, grinds, and big transitions. Paula is a powerhouse with speed, precision, and creativity. Sammakko has a bit of everything too, with vert, park, and street all checked off by Paula—a wonderful part from a highly underrated skater.

Gabi & Sabine - Fleeting Passages - November 24, 2025

Short of six minutes is Fleeting Passages, a joint release from Gabi and Sabine, which gives us a look into European street. Both skaters have a similar poise that works well together visually. Both girls have this style to them, where the grinds are low and always rolled out of. Dividing the tape into sections by location is also something I really enjoy, as it gives a real sense of place. While Fleeting Passages is clean in its tricks, it has a low-key, laid-back vibe that adds to the coolness of it all.

Cosmic Cop Out ( Asia Cruz and Kayla Klinkhammer Clips) - December 4, 2025

As always, you won’t really catch me giving other action sports too much attention, especially inline (sorry, not sorry). I’m here for potential 2025 RSOTY Asia Cruz. At timestamp 16:12, Asia has a good section of clips, including the opening banger of a grocery store cart corral rail. Imagine my surprise seeing Ms. Kayla Klinkhammer with her iconic twisty ledge grinds. Far from a “part” from either skater, but I can always appreciate when quad clips bleed into other action sports.

Ryan Lowers – Pedestrian at Best - December 12, 2025

Three minutes and thirty-six seconds of explosive swagger is Ryan Lowers Pedestrian at Best. With a quickness that reminds me of inlining, Ryan is precise and smooth in his execution, never missing a rotation out of a grind. Being able to keep up with a Danny Brown track is a feat in its own right—solid debut tape from Ryan Lowers.

Rollerblading Big Jump - December 12, 2025

From up north comes Rollerblading Big Jump. Beautifully made and featuring rollerskaters: Nikki A. Moore, Irina Löfdahl, and Shin Hye Koo. Each has incredible clips; these three are an underrated powerhouse of talent. Nikki’s long rail 50/50 was truly something to behold. I always want more Montreal rollerskating, so thank you, Rollerblading Big Jump, for these delicious crumbs. They will sustain me until we eventually get a Montreal rollerskate tape.

I'm Down for Whatever - December 12, 2025

I’m Down for Whatever is a sweet thirteen-minute release from Shredmonton Inline featuring roller skaters Scarlett Ramos and Katie Bruley. With an unstructured group sesh vibe, this edit features both inline and quad skate in park and street settings. It’s a mixed bag of sports and styles, yet it feels cohesive in attitude and Canadianess. The small roller skate section in the middle has some cool grinds, including a really nice hot dog.

“Máscara” Abril Baglieri - December 20, 2025

Ok, Ok, not going to lie, when I saw that this was nominated for Fantom’s video of the year before it even dropped, I raised an eyebrow. Then I saw the fetuses in jars and heard the iconic Mascara riff from Deftones, and I was sucked back in. What follows is Abril Baglieri’s incredible sixteen-minute runtime of bangers. With iconic style on and off skates, Abril has this great early-2000s alternative metalcore look that is perfect for skating. With long, continuous shots and perfectly synced music, Máscara is a hyperambitious tape that pays off—filmed in a way that complements Abril’s grit and steeze, easily some of the best media of the year. The exclusive use of Deftones throughout the sixteen-minute part could be considered polarizing, but since they are such an atmospheric band, it works for me.

Dropping Like Flies - Paige Koster - December 21, 2025

Following up on her first drop of the year, Not Pretty Enough For L*zo, is Paige Koster’s second release, Dropping Like Flies. Paige has an effortless style that makes her tricks look steezy. Where Not Pretty… felt like it was proving something, Dropping like Flies feels as though it has nothing to prove, and this is simply Paige doing it for the love of the game. Either way, Paige has made a name for herself this year, earning nominations for both Up-and-Comer of the Year and RSOTY.

fruit bootin streetward - Dec 29, 2025

Tried to sneak this one right past me, well, not on my watch. A super lowkey upload,  fruit bootin streetward clocks in at three minutes of Patrick doing funky, Aussie street. With this super awesome punk noise-rock vibe, Pat puts a kooky spin on things while cooking up some serious speed. Don’t let this one fly under your radar!
